What can I say? I was really astonished with how Oscar was presented this year. It was indeed a very great show especially when the nominees are presented. I was touched by how the previous Oscar winners commented and praised this years’ nominees. The lights, the production numbers, the crowd, everything was great. I would just want to react on Jennifer Aniston’s appearance on stage. She looked so nervous and uncomfortable. Has it something to do with the fact that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were actually seating at the front row seats (hahaha)?
Talking about the winners, I can say that they all deserved those awards especially the late Heath Ledger who bagged the Best Supporting Actor Award for playing the role of Joker in the 2008 Batman film “The Dark Knight”. I’ve actually seen the movie and I didn’t really like it that much. I was expecting more actions because the pre-screening promotions and activities really give me goosebumps together with the sudden death of Heath Ledger. But when I saw the movie, I was quite dissapointed because almost half of the film was all talking. In fairness to Heath Ledger, he really deserve to win the Oscar title because he nailed it. He was the main reason why the movie was actually a blockbuster.
I haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire yet but even before I knew that it was nominated for Oscars, I’ve already heard good feedbacks about the movie. Maybe i’ll watch it this weekend and there I could say if it really deserve the title or not. But I think the Oscar jury would not let a film win that most anticipated title if it isn’t really good. So I must conclude that the movie is really good.
